Take Immediate Action

The State Department has put all Americans on notice regarding their plans to install terrorist beacons/RFID chips into US passports.

The time for action is now.  It's time to put them on notice that we think their plans are dangerous and wrong.  We have until the 4th of April to make our concerns known.

The government does provide ways of submitting comments, but sometimes you have to search pretty hard to find them, then include the right Regulatory Identification Numbers, etc.  We've gathered all that information for you and put together a quick and easy way to submit your comments on this issue directly from this page.  And if you like, we'll publish your message on our Comments page (minus any personal information you choose to provide).

When writing your comments, remember to:

  • be polite;
  • remind them that RFID chips will make us easy targets for criminals and terrorists;
  • suggest that the least they can do is to not actively put Americans in harms way overseas;
  • tell them that there are cheaper, safer ways to make passports more secure, such as 2D bar coding.
